2 x MCW MAXIS - Gaffer's kit

The MCW Maxi is an affordable lighting diffusion accessory that transforms your small magnetic-based film and television LED lights into compact, soft, go anywhere lights. This long version is compatible with a larger number of small led lights or the longer strip lights like the Aputure MT pro or similar.

The 'Covered Wagon' was a staple of the tungsten lighting era constructed with a timber plank, a row of ceramic light fittings, a chicken wire cage and a diffusion of choice. The Modern Covered wagon brings this concept into a new era. End caps incorporate 1/4 20 threads for 5/8 lighting spigots. Locating pins and magnets allow for easy storage of the ends as one. A powder coated metal plate forms the base allowing the use of many of your own magnetic based small lights as the light source. Diffusing the light is a sheet of hook and loop fastened magic cloth diffusion, quality sewn by a major film and television textile supplier. 

This unit is small enough to keep in your on set kit. The light is smooth and soft, a great hair light option, an eye light and a compact solution for many of those on-set lighting challenges. The MCW Maxi is easy to hide, can be rested on its end for a quick glow on a wall, laid flat, tilted on its base or suspended by its 1/4 20 mounts. 

The metal base allows for a magnet attachment area  of 330mm x 75mm (12.99 inch x 2.95 inch) Suitable for Aputure MC,  MC Pro, Rosco Dash, MT pro x 1 or 2 (side by side) and many others!
