What was the inspiration behind Film Set Solutions?

Film Set Solutions is the brainchild of Nick Paton ACS who is an Australian cinematographer working in documentary and drama film production. Having circled the world numerous times he knows gear space is at a  premium. In fact he hasn't ever met a gaffer/cinematographer who crows about how much spare space he/she has in their truck/van or luggage. The answer, make existing tools work harder with clever, compact solutions. The first product, the MCW, does exactly that and is the first of many production solutions. We hope you find our products both practical and affordable. 

Where are your products made?

At their core, Film Set Solutions, are a business revolving around 3d printing technology. We print and assemble here in Brisbane Australia by hand.  We design and print to the highest standards to get you kit that will last. We print our own 3d printed parts and add high quality fixing and textiles sourced from well respected industry vendors...no cheap screws, metal plates or poorly sewn textiles. 

Are your products robust?

We have tested our products extensively and stand by them. 3d printing is a wonderful technology but is limited in its ability to consistently print fine details, there is some variations which certainly doesn't effect their operation, and we believe the quality we deliver is some of the best out there. We run our machines slower to achieve the best finishes.  If looked after, your products will last for years to come.

Do you ship internationally?

We are always expanding our international freight options and are adding other destinations as they are required. If you'd like to order and can't proceed at checkout, please send us an email and we will endeavour to add your region. Thanks for your understanding.

Are duties and taxes paid at checkout?

As required by the US government we are required to collect import duties as part of our freight costs at checkout, no other payments are required before you receive your items. It is unrealistic for us to do this for other countries we sell to as we run a very small operation. Your freight company will contact you directly for payment as your package draws closer to its destination. 

What if I want to place a large or special order?
